Here is a great project showing off some of Far Flung Craft's newest frou-frou fabrics that will be on our webpage August 15th. (make sure you click on more for the full instructions!)
Supplies:
- Fabric, Charm, Flowers: from Far Flung Craft
- Cardstock: Bazzill Bling (Red Carpet) and plain white cardstock
- Patterned Paper: Magnolia by My Minds Eye (Starburst “Beauty” Floral/Red)
- Chipboard Flower: Fancy Pants
- Silhouette Word: Heidi Swapp
- Other: Buttons, Silk Ribbon, Thread. Two (2) 4X6” Photos.
Tools:
- Xyron, Paper Trimmer, Needle and Thread, Corner Rounder and bone folder (optional)
Adhesives:
- Glue Dots, Clear Drying Glue, Glue tape or other scrapbook adhesive. If not using a Xyron a glue stick will be needed.
Instructions:
- Cut small square of fabric from Far Flung Craft’s Frou-Frou Kit slightly larger chipboard flower. Run fabric through Xyron and remove backing. Center fabric, adhesive side down onto the chipboard shape and trim the excess fabric using fabric scissors. (NOTE: the fabric can also be attached by using glue stick and applying the adhesive directly to the chipboard, let set until just tacky and press the fabric down. Burnish the fabric with a bone folder, starting at the center and working out to remove wrinkles.) Set aside.
- Sew buttons on to Googaw Fabric Flowers with white thread. Wrap the silk ribbon around chipboard flower and attach Chinese Coin Googaw Charm with silk ribbon.
- Cut white cardstock to measure 10.5” by 8” and attach in the center of the 8.5 X 11 inch piece of Bazzill cardstock.
- Trim red patterned paper to 7.5X7.5 inches and attach to center of the white cardstock and flush against the top edge of the Bazzill.
- Round top left corner of one photo (the one you plan to be on the left side of the layout) and round bottom right corner of second photo. Place right hand photo on layout first, one inch from the right edge of the paper, over lap second photo and place slightly higher.
- Attach Flower Googaws along the top of the right hand photo using glue dots.
- Attach the Chipboard flower at the bottom corner of the left hand photo using strong adhesive or multiple glue dots.
- Attach the silhouette word with clear drying glue just above the chipboard flower.
- Journal using pen and ink along the bottom right of the layout.
Thanks Andrea for such a fun pretty project!
