Haight Ashbury, an intersection of two streets in San Francisco. By the mid-1960s the district was becoming a centre of the hippie counterculture, and in 1967 tens of thousands of flower children ended up at Haight-Ashbury to celebrate what is now known as the Summer of Love. Flower Power, the Peace Movement and psychedelic rock were the themes of the day.
Psychedelic rock groups and singers such as the Greatful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jefferson Airplane were all seen in the district wearing wild and funky clothes! These Retro Frou-Frou fabrics could have come right out of the 60's, with bright paisley and polka dot prints.
Plenty of fabric, charms and fibers to use on any of your retro projects!
Each kit costs $6.50
