TWO WEEKS UNTIL CHA WINTER 09

WoW!  What a crazy fun mad few days this has been.  I have invited a new design team member to join us.  Edleen is from Singapore and always has fun and creative ideas for using paper.  I will get a picture of her soon to post and a bio on the Design Team page.

I have also been working on the CHA prep.  The catalog will be at the printer for proofing tomorrow and I will be back with some sneak peaks of the new lines.

Check back!

New Papers arrive in Singapore on 12/27/2008

So the Chinese New Year papers will be on the ground and ready for shipping New Years day (I figure I will get them from customs on the 29th give or take a day).  I can't wait; the proofs were so graphic and bold.  Definitely Chinese inspired, but not what many people would expect.  I love living in Asia and learning about the cultures here and then taking that and riffing on an awesome new product.  Oh, and I have just finalize the new Peranakan and Japanese lines and they are SPECTAULAR.  Expect sneak peeks right before CHA

Projects from the Gallery

Some of the projects from the gallery show the multiple uses of our paper.  Use the Batik papers on Masculine projects like the one created by AnnDavinci Card- Batik Paper

Or look at this Layout by Lynita, using the Bollywood papers on a fun layout with her kids

Family Fun

Great examples of non-Asian projects using our Asian inspired paper!

Springtime here in Far Flung Craft HQ

After two solid months of travel commitments for work I was able to take a 4 day weekend with my family over the Easter weekend and we went to the City of Kuching in Sarawak Malaysia.  One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to the Orangutan reserve outside of Kuching!    The kids loved it, my mother, who was traveling here from the US loved it and I was intranced by the site of these animals.

Imagine my surprise when Wendy submitted the following layout for this month's design team gallery!  The layout features the Bamboo paper and special cording available only in the Batik Paper kits from your local retailer!Orang-utan

Keep checking back here on the site as improvements are happing everyday!  A bit of Spring cleaning if you will!
